Ranchi, Feb 4: Jharkhand Health Minister Dr Irfan Ansari on Wednesday appealed to opposition leaders to avoid low-level politics in healthcare and cooperate in the completion of RIMS Phase-2, calling it essential for strengthening health services in the state.
In a statement issued on Wednesday morning, Dr Ansari said the healthcare situation in Jharkhand is critical, forcing many patients to seek treatment in other states at high cost.
“Patients spend huge amounts of money, and many times, despite treatment, they do not survive,” he said.

Dr Ansari said his objective is to ensure that every patient receives quality treatment and returns home healthy. To achieve this, new technologies are being installed at RIMS, doctors are being recruited, and pathology laboratories are being strengthened.

He said thousands of patients visit RIMS daily, and the completion of RIMS-2 would help manage the growing patient load and ensure better care.
The health minister said an important meeting of the RIMS Governing Body was held at RIMS, Ranchi, on Tuesday evening to discuss improvements in the public healthcare system, including patient flow management.
Dr Ansari reiterated that RIMS Phase-2 would provide modern, accessible, and dignified healthcare services and appealed to opposition leaders to extend their cooperation in its construction.
