Daltonganj, March 16: A pair of langurs created curiosity and caution among residents after they were spotted sitting along the CJM Quarter Road in Daltonganj on Monday morning.
Bikers and passersby slowed down and moved carefully as the langurs briefly occupied the roadside area.
Though the animals did not harm anyone, their sudden appearance triggered both excitement and concern among locals.
Forest Department Issues Advisory
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Medininagar Forest Division, Satyam Kumar, was informed about the presence of the langurs.
He advised people not to tease or disturb the animals.
Officials said the langurs usually jump to higher tree branches when vehicles approach, especially along the tree-lined stretch of the CJM Quarter Road.

Search for Water and Food
Sources said the langurs may have entered the town in search of water and discarded fruits.
Authorities reminded residents that langur bites require immediate medical attention, including four doses of anti-rabies vaccine.
Forest officials have asked the public to maintain distance and allow the animals to move safely back to their natural habitat.
