IMD issues yellow alert for rain, lightning, and gusty winds
According to the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, partly cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are likely at isolated places on March 27–28. Weather conditions may intensify on March 28, especially in central and southern districts, while north-western areas may see less impact. Gusty winds of 30–50 kmph and lightning may pose risks.
Jamshedpur Ram Navami procession may face weather-related challenges
In Jamshedpur, where Ram Navami celebrations are ongoing, the immersion procession on Saturday (March 28) may face disruptions due to changing weather. Cloud cover is expected throughout the day, bringing temperatures down to around 35°C, with higher humidity. There is also a chance of light rain or brief showers during the day and evening. Strong winds could affect tall flags, decorative gates, and other structures used in the procession. Authorities have advised organisers and devotees to stay cautious, especially near electric lines and tall trees.

Looking ahead, March 29 may bring slight relief with limited thunder activity in north-eastern Jharkhand. However, rain and thunderstorms are likely to return on March 30–31, affecting eastern and adjoining central regions, and later most parts of the state.
