412 new Covid cases reported in India, active cases at 4170

New Delhi, Dec 26: The Union Health Ministry reported on Tuesday that India has seen 412 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 4,170.

According to ministry data updated at 8 am, the number of deaths from the viral disease was 5,33,337, with three new deaths reported from Karnataka in a 24-hour period.

The number of overall Covid cases reported in India is 4,50,09,660.

As per the information available on the ministry’s website the count of individuals who have recovered from the illness has risen to 4,44,72,153, with the national recovery rate standing at 98.81 per cent.

The case fatality rate was 1.19 per cent.

220.67 crore Covid vaccination shots have been given nationwide to date, according to the ministry’s website.
