Simdega, June 29: A modern library, set up by the Jharkhand IAS Officers’ Wives Association (JIASOWA), was inaugurated at the Simdega Heritage Building on Monday to promote reading among students and the community.
JIASOWA President Preeti Kumari inaugurated the library by cutting the ribbon in the presence of students from the CM School of Excellence.
Library Built Using JASOWA Welfare Fund
Speaking on the occasion, Preeti Kumari encouraged students to develop a regular reading habit and strengthen their connection with books.
She said the library was established using the JIASOWA Welfare Fund as part of the association’s efforts to support education and learning.
Following the inauguration, the JIASOWA team visited the library and the adjoining museum along with Deputy Commissioner Kanchan Singh.
Among those present were Deputy Development Commissioner Dipankar Chaudhary, Sub-Divisional Officer Sumant Tirkey, District Planning Officer Asha Maxima Lakra, JSLPS District Programme Manager Shanti Mardi, and other officials.
