Jamshedpur, July 15: The last absconding accused in the high-profile murder of Karni Sena leader Himanshu Singh surrendered before the Bistupur police on Tuesday, bringing all the accused named in the case within the ambit of the law.
Raghavendra, who had been evading arrest since the June 27 murder, walked into the Bistupur police station and surrendered. Police officials said his surrender marks the completion of the arrest phase of the investigation.
Earlier, another accused, Rahul Dubey, had also surrendered before the police.
All Named Accused Now in Custody
Investigators confirmed that all the individuals named in the FIR are now either in police custody or judicial custody.
With no accused remaining absconding, the focus of the investigation will now shift to strengthening the prosecution’s case and ensuring a speedy trial.
Police said legal proceedings would continue in accordance with the law.

Murder Outside DD Bar Sparked Outrage
The case relates to the murder of Himanshu Singh, a Karni Sena leader, who was brutally attacked outside the Double Down (DD) Bar in Bistupur on the night of June 27.
According to police, Singh sustained grievous injuries after he was allegedly assaulted with a sharp-edged weapon during a violent altercation.
He later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Incident Raised Law and Order Concerns
The murder triggered widespread outrage across Jamshedpur, with political and social organisations questioning the city’s law and order situation.
The incident also led to scrutiny of the police response. Following departmental action, four police personnel were suspended, while the district administration ordered the closure of the DD Bar, where the incident occurred.
Focus Shifts to Trial
Officials said the surrender of the final accused represents a significant milestone in the investigation.
With all the accused now in custody, investigators are expected to concentrate on completing the charge sheet, consolidating evidence and ensuring an effective prosecution during the trial.
