DPS Ranchi celebrates annual function ‘SAMANVAY’ with message of harmony

Ranchi, August 25: Delhi Public School (DPS), SAIL Township, Dhurwa, Ranchi, hosted its Annual Function, ‘SAMANVAY – Nurturing Compassion, Celebrating Harmony,’ at the Vivekananda Auditorium on Tuesday, bringing together young talent, creativity and a message of empathy and togetherness.

The celebration featured students from Classes Prep, I and II, who presented a vibrant blend of music, dance, storytelling and theatrical performances. With confidence, enthusiasm and creativity, the young performers brought alive the central message of —the importance of compassion, cooperation, inclusivity and harmony.

Young Performers Showcase Talent and Creativity

The cultural programme unfolded as a series of performances exploring different dimensions of empathy, kindness and togetherness.

Through music, dance, storytelling and theatrical expression, the children highlighted how differences need not divide people when they are united by understanding and mutual respect.

The colourful presentations showcased the children’s creativity and confidence while reflecting the guidance, preparation and commitment of their teachers and mentors.

‘Harmony Does Not Mean Sameness’

At the heart of Samanvay was the message that harmony does not require people to be the same. Instead, it lies in respecting and celebrating differences while moving forward with empathy and understanding.

The young performers conveyed this message through their performances, demonstrating how diverse talents, emotions and perspectives can come together to create something meaningful.

Principal Highlights Importance of Experiential Learning

Dr Jaya Chauhan, Principal, Delhi Public School, Ranchi, appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers.

She highlighted the importance of experiential platforms in helping children discover their voices, nurture creativity, build confidence and strengthen communication and collaboration skills.

She also emphasised the role of such activities in helping children develop values that shape them into compassionate and responsible individuals.

As the programme concluded, the auditorium echoed with applause and smiles from the audience.

More than an annual function, SAMANVAY became a celebration of young talent and shared values, while reinforcing the message that empathy, inclusivity and respect can bring people together despite their differences.

The event concluded with a lasting message of harmony and togetherness, leaving the audience with memories of an evening centred on compassion, creativity and the spirit of unity.
