Jamshedpur, September 9: Accessing police services and essential information has become easier for residents of East Singhbhum with the district police launching the “Johar Police” chatbot, offering a range of citizen services through WhatsApp.

According to a press note issued by the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police, East Singhbhum, on September 9, the Jamshedpur Online Help & Assistance for Residents (JOHAR POLICE) chatbot has been designed to provide convenient access to police-related services without requiring citizens to visit police offices for routine enquiries and assistance.

To use the facility, residents simply need to send “Hi” on WhatsApp to 9471167577. The chatbot will provide information and assistance related to lost mobile phones, cybercrime complaints, traffic and challans, passport verification and character certificates.
