Jamshedpur, November 6: Jharkhand is likely to witness foggy and misty mornings over the next few days, while daytime weather conditions are expected to remain mainly clear or partly cloudy. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also forecast isolated rain or thundershowers in parts of the state, particularly in the north-eastern and south-eastern regions.
According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, fog or mist is likely during the morning hours on Friday (November 6), followed by mainly clear skies during the day.
However, weather conditions are expected to change gradually from Saturday, with partly cloudy skies likely over several parts of the state.
Foggy mornings, partly cloudy skies ahead
On November 7 and 8, morning fog or mist is expected to persist, while partly cloudy conditions are likely during the daytime.
The weather department has forecast the possibility of rain or thunderstorms over the north-eastern and south-eastern parts of Jharkhand on November 8 and 9. This could bring a temporary change in the otherwise dry weather conditions prevailing across the state.
Partly cloudy skies are also likely on November 9, accompanied by the possibility of isolated rain or thundershowers in the north-eastern and south-eastern districts.
Rain and thunderstorms likely in eastern Jharkhand
The outlook for November 10 and 11 also indicates continued atmospheric instability over parts of the state.
On November 10, partly cloudy skies are expected, with the possibility of rain or thunderstorms over eastern Jharkhand.
Similar conditions are likely on November 11, when isolated rainfall or thundershowers may occur in the north-eastern and south-eastern regions.
The forecast suggests that morning fog and mist will remain recurring features across Jharkhand, while cloud formation and isolated thunderstorm activity could influence weather conditions, particularly in the eastern belt.
Motorists advised to remain cautious
Residents, especially those travelling during the early morning hours, may encounter reduced visibility due to fog and mist. Motorists have been advised to exercise caution while driving in low-visibility conditions.
The IMD forecast points to fluctuating weather conditions across Jharkhand over the coming days, with foggy mornings, partly cloudy afternoons and the possibility of scattered rain or thunderstorms in selected districts until November 11.
