Jamshedpur, Jan 13: The cold has intensified across Jharkhand due to the free flow of north-westerly currents.
Met statistics revealed that sub-10 chill was prevailing across Jharkhand.
Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 8.1 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded 9.2 degrees.

As per Met statistics Daltonganj, the Palamu headquarters today recorded a minimum temperature of 6.2 degrees Celsius while Bokaro recorded 7.2 degrees.

Chaibasa in neighbouring West Singbhum district today recorded a minimum temperature of 8.2 degrees.
Almost all districts experienced abrupt fall in minimum temperature.
No significant synoptic system prevails over Jharkhand.
Westerly to North-Westerly winds prevailed over the state.
Weathermen said the chill is expected to intensify further due to clear weather conditions.
