Ranchi, January 24: The Hemant Soren cabinet today approved a proposal to give old age pension for STs, SCs and all women of 50 years of age and above in the State.

About 16 lakh population will benefit from this scheme.

Home loan for State govt employees

The cabinet also approved to increase the provision of home loan for all state government employees from Rs 30 lakh to Rs 60 lakh. This loan will be given at 7.5 percent interest rate. At the same time, the requirement of keeping the property as a mortgage against the loan will also end.

The cabinet also approved a proposal to upgrade 140 middle schools to high schools in Jharkhand.

Vineeta Oraon, who showed courage in the year 2020, will be given an incentive amount of Rs 5 lakh. Also, the cabinet has approved to appoint her on a class IV post.

Other decisions:  

* Relaxation of about 7 years will be given in JPSC Combined Civil Examination- 2023.

*Four lane service from Km 0.00 to Km 20.00 (total length – 20.00 km) of Kanco-Binod Bihari Chowk-Gol Building Bhaya Memco Chowk road under Jharkhand Municipal Development Project (JMDP) through Jharkhand State Highway Authority. Revised administrative approval of Rs. 461,90,19,200 as given for “Development including Lane (Beautification work including cycle track)”.

★ Approval was given for implementing the Maternal Kit Distribution Scheme to pregnant women under the Women and Girls Welfare Scheme under the State Scheme.

★ “Jharkhand Protection of Depositors’ Interests (in Financial Establishments) Act 2011 constituted to protect the interests of common depositors in the state of Jharkhand, to prevent fraudulent defaults by financial establishments and to provide relief to depositors in case of default in refund of deposits. Repeal was approved.

★ The action taken report taken by the Assembly Secretariat on the report submitted by the One-Man Judicial Commission constituted under the chairmanship of Justice (Retd.) S.J. Mukhopadhyay, former Judge, Supreme Court, will be tabled in the House in the upcoming session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.

★ Approval was given to make the scheme for payment of salary etc. of ICDS employees operated under the state scheme, 100% from the state fund, payment of salaries etc./contract allowances to the employees of the Integrated Child Development Project (ICDS) under the state.

★ Implementation of “Chief Minister Tractor Distribution Scheme” for distribution of tractors and auxiliary agricultural equipment to farmer groups on grant under the scheme for distribution of agricultural equipment to farmers, women self-help groups and others in the financial year 2023-24 and 2024-25 under the state scheme.
