Ramgarh, February 2: On Friday, the Department of Botany started a two-day national conference at Radha Govind University premises.
The national conference theme was – Sustainable Development: Recent Advances in Bioresources and Biotherapeutics.
The Chancellor and the University founder, BN Sah, inaugurated the programme.
In his address, Registrar Dr Nirmal Kumar Mandal said that by adequately using biological resources, we can make ourselves healthy and fit.
The main speaker in the program was Dr. K. K Gupta, Head of the Department of Zoology, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh.

Head of the Department of Botany, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra, Vinoba Bhave University Hazaribagh, Dean of Science Department, Prof. (Dr). Chandreshwar Prasad, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh,
Dr. Sanjay Singh, Assistant Lecturer, Women’s College, Ramgarh, Head of the Department of Botany, and Dr Anjan Kumar Sinha, Raghunathpur College, West Bengal, presented their views while throwing light on Sustainable Development.
Chancellor of the University, B.N.Sah, said that the national conference will establish new dimensions for the science students.
Pro-Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) M. Raziuddin extended his hearty congratulations and best wishes for the success of the national conference.
Priyanka Kumari, Secretary of Radha Govind Education Health Trust, appreciated the programme and congratulated everyone.
At the conference, lecturers, researchers and students from different states presented research papers and shared their views.
The programme was coordinated by Dr Pooja Kumari Jaiswal, Dr Pratibha Gupta and Uma Kumari.
