Ranchi, March 6: Protean e-Gov Technologies Limited has been entrusted by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to operate an Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) in Ranchi, strengthening citizens’ access to Aadhaar enrolment and update services in and around the Jharkhand capital.
The centre will provide a wide range of walk-in Aadhaar services, including new Aadhaar enrolment, demographic and biometric updates, Aadhaar authentication and e-KYC services. The facility is designed to offer a secure, standardised and citizen-friendly service experience, ensuring timely resolution of Aadhaar-related requirements.
Sanjay Seth visits Aadhaar Seva Kendra
As part of the initiative, UIDAI and Protean e-Gov invited Union Minister of State for Defence and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth to visit the newly established centre.

During the visit, Seth inspected the facility and appreciated the efforts made to ensure smooth operations. He also praised the cooperation of the local administration and Protean e-Gov’s initiative in providing efficient Aadhaar services to citizens.
The visit was also attended by Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Akhilesh Kumar Gupta (ITS), Deputy Director General of UIDAI Ranchi, and representatives of Protean e-Gov.
Part of nationwide Aadhaar service expansion
The Ranchi centre is part of a broader initiative under which UIDAI has authorised Protean e-Gov to establish and operate Aadhaar Seva Kendras across multiple districts in India.
Under the plan, the company will set up Aadhaar Seva Kendras in 188 districts nationwide, strengthening last-mile delivery of identity services and improving convenience for citizens.
Boost to Digital Public Infrastructure
The Ranchi Aadhaar Seva Kendra further strengthens Protean e-Gov’s role in building population-scale Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) in India.
Officials said the initiative will ensure seamless, reliable and easy access to essential identity services, helping residents complete Aadhaar-related work efficiently without long waiting times.
