New Delhi, July 22: Bollywood actor and Trinamool Congress MP Shatrughan Sinha was sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Asansol on Monday.

Shatrughan Sinha emerged victorious in the Lok Sabha elections from the Asansol constituency in West Bengal, winning by 59,564 votes.

The Asansol constituency cast its votes during Phase 4 of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on May 13, 2024.

The budget session of Parliament started today, Monday. It is almost certain that the opposition will corner the government on several important issues, including the NEET paper leak, railway safety, and the UP government’s decision regarding the Kanwar Yatra.

The budget will be presented in Parliament tomorrow, Tuesday. Before that, today on July 22, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey 2023-24.
