Mumbai, Oct 23: The Ajit Pawar-led faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has released its first list of 38 candidates for the forthcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.
The list features six fresh candidates alongside 32 sitting MLAs. The new entrants will contest in the constituencies of Arjuni Morgaon, Igatpuri, Amravati City, Navapur, Pathri, and Mumbra-Kalwa.
The list includes nine ministers among the 32 sitting MLAs, along with the Assembly Deputy Speaker and four female candidates.
NCP president and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is set to run from the Baramati assembly seat.

The candidates and seats
The first list of 38 candidates announced by the NCP includes prominent figures and key leaders. Ajit Pawar will contest from Baramati, Chhagan Bhujbal from Yeola, Dilip Walse Patil from Ambegaon, Hasan Mushrif from Kagal, and Dhananjay Munde from Parli. Other candidates include Narhari Zirwal from Dindori, Dharmaraobaba Atram from Aheri, Aditi Tatkare from Shrivardhan, and Anil Bhaidas Patil from Amalner.
Additional candidates include Sanjay Bansode from Udgir, Rajkumar Badole from Arjuni Morgaon, Prakash Solanke from Majalgaon, Makarand Patil from Wai, and Manikrao Kokate from Sinnar. Dilip Mohite will contest from Khed-Alandi, Sangram Jagtap from Ahmednagar City, and Dattatraya Bharane from Indapur.
Further down the list are Babasaheb Patil from Ahmedpur, Daulat Daroda from Shahapur, Anna Bansode from Pimpri, Nitin Pawar from Kalwan, and Ashutosh Kale from Kopargaon. Dr. Kiran Lahamte will run from Akole, Chandrakant Navghare from Wasmat, Shekhar Nikam from Chiplun, Sunil Shelke from Maval, and Atul Benke from Junnar.
Other candidates include Yashwant Mane from Mohol, Chetan Tupe from Hadapsar, Saroj Ahire from Deolali, and Rajesh Patil from Chandgad. Hiramant Khoskar is contesting from Igatpuri, Raju Karemor from Tumsar, Indranil Naik from Pusad, Sulabha Khodke from Amravati City, Bharat Gavit from Navapur, Nirmala Uttamrao Witekar from Pathri, and Najeeb Mulla from Mumbra-Kalwa.
