PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, April 14: Sona Devi University celebrated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar with great reverence at the Vivekananda Auditorium in Ghatshila on Tuesday.

The programme was attended by the Principal of Government Polytechnic, Seraikela, Satyadev Ram, as the chief guest. He inspired students by highlighting Dr. Ambedkar’s journey from facing untouchability in childhood to becoming a global icon through education.

Focus on equality and education

Addressing the gathering, Ram said Dr. Ambedkar dedicated his life to social equality, educational empowerment, and constitutional rights for all sections of society. He stressed the importance of special provisions in education and employment for the underprivileged and called for proper implementation of constitutional safeguards.

He also urged students to be aware of their rights and supported merit-based selection for key positions, along with accountability in the teaching system.
