Patna, Jan 2: Arif Mohammad Khan took the oath of office as the new Governor of Bihar on Thursday.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Patna High Court Chief Justice Krishnan Vinod Chandran at a ceremony held at Rajendra Mandapam Hall of Raj Bhavan in Patna.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, along with numerous other political figures and senior bureaucrats.

Arif Mohammed Khan, who previously served as the Governor of Kerala, has become the 42nd Governor of Bihar, succeeding Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, who today took the oath as Governor of Kerala.
Ahead of his oath, Arif Mohammad Khan visited Bans Ghat in Patna and paid tribute to Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India.
