Doda, August 14: An encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. An army captain was martyred in this. According to sources, firing took place in Assar area of ​​Doda district.

The martyred army officer has been identified as Captain Deepak Singh. The officer lost his life while leading a search team during the operation.

During the search operation, security forces recovered an M4 rifle, clothing, and three rucksack bags from the area. It is believed that the terrorists are hiding in the Shivgarh-Assar belt of Doda, and one of them may have been injured. Bloodstains were found in the area.

The operation that started on Tuesday in the Assar area is ongoing. Following the onset of the encounter, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police initiated a search operation.
