Ranchi, Dec 4: BJP state president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today drew the attention of the Hemant government towards the negligence prevailing in the Maiyaan Samman Yojana.

Marandi said he communicated with the people in various villages of the Dhanwar assembly constituency for the last two days. “During this, a large number of women from more than a dozen other villages including Koradih, Jagdishpur of Dhanwar block shared their problems. Most of the women said they are still deprived of the benefits of Maiyaan Samman Yojana. “The forms of many eligible women have not been filled, due to which they have not been able to get any benefit of the scheme. There is also a lot of negligence in the Maiyaan Yojana payment,” he said.

He said old age pension and widow pension have also been pending for many months. “Complaints of huge irregularities have also been received in the ration distribution,” he added.

Marandi requested the chief minister to hold special camps in the Dhanwar Assembly constituency and other areas of the state so that forms of all women deprived of the Maiyaan Samman Yojana are filled and the payment of the scheme should be provided to them on time.

He said that updated payment of pending pension and ration should be ensured so that women do not have to worry about their basic needs.
