Kolkata, May 22: Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar, who was missing in India, has been murdered in Kolkata. Three people have been arrested in this regard.
Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan made this announcement here in Dhaka on Wednesday. Khan told reporters that Awami League MP Anwarul Azim Anar, who went missing in India, was murdered in a flat in Kolkata.
All killers involved are Bangladeshi
The minister told reporters at his home on Wednesday that three people had been arrested by Bangladesh Police in relation to this matter, according to Bangladesh Newspaper Daily Star.

He said, according to the information received so far, all the killers involved in the murder are Bangladeshi and it was a planned murder.
The Bangladesh Home Minister said, “So far, we have come to know that all the killers involved are Bangladeshis. It was a planned murder,” When asked about the body’s whereabouts, he mentioned they still do not have that information.
The minister said, “We will soon inform you about the motive,” adding that Indian police are assisting with the investigation.
Anar had gone on a personal visit to India on May 12 for treatment. His missing complaint was lodged at Baranagar police station in North Kolkata on May 18.
