Mumbai, Feb 10: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the squad for the last three Tests of the five-match series against England, confirming that Virat Kohli, the prominent batsman, will continue to be absent from the upcoming matches due to personal reasons.
Virat Kohli was initially absent from the first two Tests, and now his absence has been prolonged for three additional matches.
“Virat Kohli will remain unavailable for selection for the remainder of the series due to personal reasons. The Board fully respects and supports Mr. Kohli’s decision,” the BCCI statement said.
The availability of batsman KL Rahul and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will depend on their fitness, according to the BCCI.

The BCCI mentioned that Sarfaraz Khan and Rajat Patidar have been included in the series.
“The participation of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team,” BCCI stated.
Pacer Mohammed Shami remains sidelined due to injury, having missed the initial two Tests. Additionally, pacer Akash Deep has been added to the squad.
The third Test is scheduled to begin in Rajkot on February 15 while the fourth Test is scheduled to begin in Ranchi on February 23. On March 7, Dharamsala will host the series’ fifth and final Test. The series is currently even with both teams having won one match each.
