Dhanbad, Dec 11:  BIT Sindri 1994-98 batch alumni gathered on the campus after 25 years and grandly celebrated the silver jubilee by holding a series of programmes including the execution of a new project for the institution and educational discussion.

More than 90 alumni of the 1994-98 batch holding various coveted posts across the country gathered on this occasion and as a gesture, they upgraded the campus-based BIT Sindri canteen with modern facilities to make their silver jubilee celebration memorable.

BIT Sindri Director Dr Pankaj Rai inaugurated the canteen and highly praised the gesture of the 1994-98 batch alumni and their dedication toward the alma mater. The notable alumni who were present on the occasion were Kumud Sharma, Dipali, Sunil Agarwal, Dipak, Santosh Anshumali, Mahendra, Rajiv Prakash, Santosh, Rajeev Ranjan, Sujit Nivriti Priyadarshni,  Anjana Das, Neeraj Vishwakarma, and Niraj Singh.

“It was a splendid and grand reunion unfolded with unparalleled splendour that could be possible under the guidance of Prof. Dr Sumit Kumar, our esteemed alumni Sunil Kumar Agarwal (batch 1994–98) and Sushanto Shekhar (batch 2020) from the civil engineering department, along with Prof. Dr Rajendra Murmu from the electrical department,” said an alumnus.

The alumni of batch 94-98 expressed their heartfelt thanks for their valuable contributions.  “We have many projects for the institution but the ‘canteen’ is a major one.  “They contributed their ideas and expertise, ensuring the success of the project. The legacy of this reunion and the transcendent canteen upgrade will undoubtedly echo through the hallowed halls of BIT Sindri for generations to come,” they said.
