BIT Sindri Platinum Jubilee: Experts delve into intricacies of 5G technologies

Dhanbad, Jan 16: The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department of BIT Sindri held a seminar to explore the intricate world of 5G communication technologies and the potential landscape of 6G to mark the Platinum Jubilee lecture series of the institution.

The renowned experts, Kausik Sinha and Praveen Kumar Korrai of Fujitsu Research Bengaluru, were chief speakers at the seminar who virtually connected and shed light on the growing importance of  5 G and the scope of 6G in various industries.

Dr MG Tiwary, HoD, BIT Sindri Electronics and Communication Engineering department, co-ordinator Dr Arvind Kumar put up the subject matter of the seminar and informed that the theme of the conclave is to delve into the impact of 5G  technologies on various industries. Director Dr Pankaj Rai also graced the occasion.

Chief speaker Sinha, who has over two decades of experience in Radion Access Network (RAN) product design, while addressing shed light on the realm of 5G, 6G and RAN-based products research and development.

Another speaker Dr Korrai, a senior systems Architect, shared his experiences on wireless communications.

“The impact of these technologies on various industries was a central theme, with emphasis placed on the pivotal role BIT Sindri plays in driving technological advancements,” said Dr Tiwary

BIT Sindri ECE department head Dr Tiwary said that keeping the importance of the subject in mind it has been decided to hold a seminar every Saturday and Sunday.

The team of the Electronics and Communication Engineering  (ECE) society successfully conducted the seminar under the guidance of president  Ritesh Kumar and student co-ordinator  Akash Kumar. Samia Nishat conducted the session.
