SUBHASH MISHRA

Dhanbad, Jan 17: Experts, startup founders and senior faculty members on Friday called upon BIT Sindri students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset during their academic life, stressing that innovation, initiative and self-confidence are essential for future careers and national development.

The message was delivered during an Entrepreneurial Interaction Programme organised by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC 8.0), BIT Sindri, to mark National Startup Day.

Focus on innovation and startup culture

The programme was held under the guidance of Prof. Prakash Kumar, Chairman, IIC 8.0, and Prof. S.C. Dutta, Vice Chairman, IIC 8.0, with Prof. Rahul Kumar, Convener, IIC 8.0, coordinating the event.

Addressing students, Prof. Prakash Kumar said the objective of the programme was to provide practical exposure to entrepreneurship and startup culture, complementing classroom education and encouraging students to think beyond conventional career paths.

Startup founders share real-world experiences

Experts highlighted the role of innovation-driven ideas, risk-taking and self-belief in shaping young professionals and strengthening the startup ecosystem.

The programme, organised in collaboration with the E-Cell, BIT Sindri, saw active participation from students across disciplines. Founders from startups including Khwaab Publication, NextLayer LLP, Evening Designers and Wowhelm Private Limited shared their entrepreneurial journeys, challenges and learnings with the students.

Interactive session inspires students

The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, which inspired students to explore opportunities in startups, innovation and entrepreneurship, Prof. Prakash Kumar said.
