Ranchi, August 25: Jharkhand state election co-incharge and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today launched the BJP poll slogan ‘Mila Kya’ for the forthcoming assembly elections.

Sarma said that today the whole of Jharkhand is asking Hemant Soren ‘We did not get anything, did you get?’

JMM’s promise of 5 lakh jobs every year

“Hemant Soren had promised to give 5 lakh jobs to the youth every year, unemployment allowance if no job is given and retirement from politics if both the promises are not fulfilled,” he pointed out.

“Hemant Soren said this while taking a vow at the Samadhi Sthal of martyr Nirmal Mahto. If the promise is not fulfilled then it is an insult to a martyr as well,” he said.

Sarma said that his father is not a big name but Shibu Soren ji is a big personality. “If his son doesn’t fulfil his promises then who will fulfil his promises,” he asked.

“Hemant Soren ji, wait for a month or retire from politics in a day or two. By fixing 2nd October or any other date, you should tell the people of the state when you are retiring. Because elections are to be held in November, you have time only till September,” he said.

He asked what happened to the unemployment allowance of Rs 15000 crores for youth, Rs 3750 crores for women’s pension, Rs 2.5 lakh crores for loan without guarantee to women, Rs 60000 crores for stove allowance, Rs 300 crores for gold coins for women after marriage and Rs 1.80 lakh crores for Rs 72000 annually to every family?

“When we raise the issue of infiltration, the government says that it is politically motivated, but here a doctor is arrested on charges of being associated with Al Qaeda, the state government does not see it,” he pointed out.

Sarma said that the youth of Jharkhand cannot even ask questions. “When the youth take out a rally to express their anger, they get tear gas, lathi and bombs. Hemant Soren is behaving as if he has become God. It is his wish, if he has to give something to someone, he will give it, and no one can even ask him any question,” he said.

Question over FIR against 12,000 unknown persons

Sarma said that there is no objection to the FIR lodged against 52 workers, including Babulal Marandi, Arjun Munda, Amar Bauri, and Sanjay Seth.

“There is no problem if these people have to go to jail but filing a case against 12000 unknown people is wrong. Through these unknown people, this government has opened a way of blackmailing that if any youth or other person in any part of the state questions this government, he will be arrested in this case. Even in Jallianwala Bagh, the British rule would not have filed such an FIR as the Jharkhand government has done. In democracy, no other example of this can be found in any part of the country,” he said.

Warning the DGP, he said that if he wanted to apply oil, then apply it but do not apply it too much. This case will not last even a day in the Supreme Court, he maintained.

Jharkhand govt has completely failed: Babulal Marandi

At the same time, BJP state president Babulal Marandi, who joined the press conference online, said that the state government talks big and makes announcements but its track record has completely failed.

“In the last four and a half years, the people of the state have heard only promises in the name of development, but nothing has changed on the ground,” he said.
