New Delhi, Nov 3: For the forthcoming Rajasthan assembly elections, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) released its fourth list of candidates on Friday.

In its fourth list, the party announced two candidates: Swaroop Singh Khara from the Sheo constituency and Ram Niwas Meena from the Todabhim (ST) constituency.

The BJP earlier revealed its third list of candidates for the elections in Rajasthan.

In its third list, the party had put forward 58 candidates, one of whom was former Tonk seat MLA Ajit Singh Mehta, who will be running against Congress politician and current MLA Sachin Pilot.

In the 2018 state assembly elections, Sachin Pilot secured a win against Yunus Khan of the BJP, who had previously served as a minister in Vasundhara Raje’s cabinet.

The BJP has once more nominated Shankar Lal Sharma as its candidate in the Dausa constituency, where Congress’s Murali Lal Meena is the incumbent officeholder.

Shankar Lal Sharma of the BJP lost to Meena in 2018 by 48,056 votes.

Prior to this, the Bharatiya Janata Party released its second list, which included 83 candidates.

In the BJP’s second list, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been named as the candidate for the Jhalarpatan constituency, while senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore is set to contest from Taranagar.

The BJP has nominated Member of Parliament, Diya Kumari, as their candidate for the Vidhyadhar Nagar constituency. Baba Balaknath will be contesting from Tijara and Kirodi Lal Meena from Sawai Madhopur.
