BKI terrorist Parminder Singh brought to India from UAE

Chandigarh, Sept 27: Punjab Police, with the assistance of central agencies and authorities in the United Arab Emirates, has brought back Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Parminder Singh alias Pindi from Abu Dhabi, marking a major success in the fight against terrorism and organised crime.

Police officials said Pindi, a key associate of foreign-based terrorists Harwinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Passia, had been involved in petrol bomb attacks, violent assaults and extortion activities across Batala and Gurdaspur. His extradition was carried out following a Red Corner Notice issued at the request of Batala Police.

A four-member Punjab Police team, led by a senior officer, travelled to Abu Dhabi on September 24, worked closely with the Ministry of External Affairs and UAE authorities to complete the legal procedures, and escorted him back to India to face trial.

In a statement on X, Punjab Police said the successful operation highlights its zero-tolerance approach to terrorism, its strengthened global cooperation, and its ability to track and apprehend criminals internationally.

The force also expressed gratitude to the MEA, central agencies, and UAE authorities for their crucial support.
