Ranchi, January 31: The State government has asked the building construction department to get a three-bedroom quarter in Deendayal Nagar near the Raj Bhawan ready for a camp jail where Hemant Soren would be lodged after he is arrested. Deendayal Nagar is a colony where senior bureaucrats and politicians have been allotted government bungalows.
A senior police officer vacated the house a couple of days back after he moved to his own house. The house is next to the quarter allotted to JMM MLA and Hemant Soren’s younger brother, Basant Soren.
The step has been taken because of the security of the ex-chief minister as several accused in the land and mining scam lodged in the Birsa Munda central jail.
