Ranchi, February 1: Governor CP Radhakrishnan has agreed to meet JMM combine legislature party chief Champai Soren at 5.30 pm.

Earlier, Champai Soren sent off a letter to Governor CP Radhakrishnan to accept his claim to form the government and pave the way for a new government in Jharkhand.

Soren, in his letter, has said currently there is no government in existence in the state for the last 18 hours.

“There is a situation of confusion in the state. Being the constitutional head, we all the MLAs and the people of the state expect from him that soon he will pave the way for the formation of a popular government and will take the state out of confusion,” he has added.

Champai Soren also requested he be given time to meet with all the MLAs at Raj Bhavan and assure the Governor that the majority is with him, and will form a stable government in the state.

Soren, in his letter, has pointed out that he submitted to him yesterday the claims of support of 47 MLAs and the letter of support signed by 43 MLAs, which is more than the majority figure.
