BSF shoots down Pakistani intruder at Punjab border

Amritsar, Feb 26: Border Security Force (BSF) troops shot dead a Pakistani intruder along the international border in Punjab’s Pathankot early Wednesday after he ignored warnings to stop, officials reported.

The incident occurred in the Border Outpost Tashpatan area when BSF personnel detected suspicious movement.

Despite being challenged, the individual crossed into Indian territory and was subsequently gunned down. His identity is yet to be confirmed.

A BSF Jammu frontier spokesperson stated that a strong protest would be lodged with Pakistan Rangers regarding the incident.
