Dhanbad , Dec 7: Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro has set up Aero – Innovation Lab, the first of its kind in a school of Jharkhand for the holistic development of students.
Inaugurating the ambitious lab, DPS Bokaro principal DR AS Gangwar said that the lab has been named after the first space traveller of the country, Rakesh Sharma.
“Our institution is known for its innovative approaches to establishing international standards in education. The lab is also a step in this regard,” he said. He further added that the Aero lab will empower students to gain expertise in technical fields like aeronautics, aviation and space technology.

Giving details, Dr Gangwar informed that the lab pays tribute to the country’s first space travellers, Rakesh Sharma and Kalpana Chawla. “ This state-of-the-art lab introduces students to avant-garde advancements in aeronautics, including pollution-free 3D printing, CNC laser cutting, mechanical tools, meteorology, wind tunnels, drone technology, rocket science, satellites, Mars rovers, hydraulic excavators, transistor-based airship operations, and sensor-based aircraft control,” he said.
Dr. Gangwar said the Aero-Innovation Lab sets a new benchmark in educational innovation, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of diverse technical fields, and fostering a passion for learning and exploration.
