Ranchi, January 12: Delhi Public School (DPS) Ranchi today organised a show of creativity and knowledge with its Project Model Expo – Innovate, Elevate, and Dominate, exclusively curated for the primary wing encompassing classes Nursery to V.
The event garnered a unique charm with the enthusiastic presence of parents, who actively participated and engaged with the projects, making the Expo even more meaningful.
The students, showcasing a remarkable blend of innovation and intellect, presented various individual and group projects covering diverse topics, including Language and People in Society, Life Science, Environmental Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Arts and Craft, and Sports and Physical Education.
Agriculture and Food Security
Subdivided into comprehensive subtopics such as Languages, Agriculture and Food Security, Disaster Management, Living Organisms, Health and Hygiene, Environmental Issues and Concerns, Natural Resources (Water, Air, Soil, and Forest), Energy Resources and Conservation, and Physical Science in Everyday Life, the projects exhibited a deep understanding and application of various subjects.
Theme-based presentations
One of the highlights of the Expo was the theme-based presentations delivered by students from classes Nursery to V. Nursery students wowed the audience with their ‘Earth Corner’ showcasing eco-friendly practices and ‘Ocean Corner’ depicting aquatic life, among other engaging exhibits.
Flora and Fauna
Class Prep students delved into ‘Flora and Fauna,’ while class I explored the significance of ‘Ram Janmbhoomi’ alongside concepts from Life Science, Environmental Science, and Mathematics.
Johar Jharkhand
Class II presented a vibrant depiction of ‘Johar Jharkhand’ and delved into Artificial Intelligence and Technology.
Students of Classes III to V showcased thematic exhibits for various subjects. For English, they exhibited ‘Book Flix,’ displaying titles of multiple books they read as part of their summer holiday assignment. They also presented on Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In Hindi, the young ones explored the topic of ‘Navras,’ while in Mathematics, they emphasised its importance in everyday life.
Bharat Mandapam
The students also took centre stage with the presentation on ‘Venusta Colore Scientia,’ delivering scientific concepts through engaging exhibits. In Social Science, a model on ‘Bharat Mandapam’ was presented, highlighting the idea of ‘Incredible India.’
Dr Ram Singh, the School Principal, also stressed the significance of organising such exhibitions. He underscored how these events contribute to the holistic development of students, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork. He said, “The diverse range of projects showcased at the Project Model Expo at DPS Ranchi exemplified not only academic excellence but also the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared to face future challenges”.
