Jamshedpur, April 8:  XITE College, a premier institution committed to providing practical and industry-aligned education, organized a successful industrial visit for its final year B.Com students to Timken India in Jamshedpur on April 5.

The industrial tour was organised in partnership with the Jamshedpur Management Association (JMA). This initiative, part of the college’s ongoing effort to bridge academic learning with industry practices, offered students a firsthand look into the sophisticated world of manufacturing and engineering.

The visit aimed at enriching students’ understanding of the industrial sector, focusing on the manufacturing processes, quality standards and the latest technological advancements.

It intended to augment their theoretical knowledge with practical insights, preparing them for the challenges of the professional world.

Timken India, a subsidiary of the global leader The Timken Company, is renowned for its excellence in bearings and mechanical power transmission products. With a legacy of quality and innovation, Timken serves a diverse range of industries worldwide, making it an ideal model for aspiring professionals.

Highlights of the visit

The visit included a series of engaging activities.

Interactive sessions with Timken’s engineers and technicians offered in-depth discussions on manufacturing nuances, engineering principles and technological innovations.

Students left the visit with a comprehensive understanding of industrial operations, an appreciation for quality assurance and insights into the application of their classroom learning in real-world scenarios.

The visit underscored the significance of innovation and quality in the manufacturing industry.
