Ranchi, April 4: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two people, including a dispatch officer and a clerk, of Amrapali Project CCL, Chatra Jharkhand, in a case related to the complainant’s acceptance of Rs. 50,000 in bribes.
Bribe for coal lifting
The CBI registered a case on a complaint against the Despatch Officer, Amrapali Project, CCL Chatra, Jharkhand, alleging that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs.91,000 for allowing the lifting of coal against DO Nos—1002 & 1003 from CCL Amrapali Project, Chatra.

The CBI laid a trap and caught the said clerk while accepting a part bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant at the instance of the accused Despatch Officer, who was also seen during the trap proceedings.
Later, searches were conducted at their premises, and certain documents were recovered.
Both the accused will be produced in the Court today.
