BLOs Are Foundation of a Pure Electoral Roll: CEC
Addressing a meeting and interaction with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at Shri Shri Mohananand +2 School, Tapovan, Deoghar, the CEC said that just as a pure electoral roll forms the foundation of democracy, BLOs form the foundation of a pure electoral roll as they prepare and verify voter data at the grassroots level.
Electoral Roll Revision Underway Across Country
Gyanesh Kumar said that intensive revision of the electoral roll is being carried out in phases across the country. Although the revision has not yet been formally announced in Jharkhand, the level of preparedness shown by BLOs in Deoghar indicates that the goal of including every eligible voter will be achieved during the revision process in the state.

BLOs Now Equipped with Identity Cards
The Chief Election Commissioner acknowledged that in the past, BLOs often faced difficulties during door-to-door verification due to the lack of proper identification, which sometimes led to suspicion among residents.
