In a separate development, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the re-designation of Ashish Kumar Srivastava (IAS: 2011: UD), currently serving as Regional Director at Deputy Secretary level in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Prayagraj, to the Director level.

The DoPT order, issued on Thursday, June 26, states that the upgraded role will take effect from the date Srivastava assumes charge and will continue until November 11, 2029, marking a five-year tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme.
