Narayanpur, April 17: A BJP leader was fatally stabbed by Naxalites in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday night.
Pancham Das, a BJP leader from Dandavan village in the Narayanpur district’s Farsgaon police station limits, has been identified as the deceased. He also served as the village’s deputy sarpanch.
According to sources, Naxalites broke into Das’s home at approximately 11 p.m., kidnapped him, and fatally stabbed him with a sharp weapon in a remote area nearby. Following the killing, the Naxalites left the area.

Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar confirmed the incident. He mentioned that the police force, along with the District Reserve Guard (DRG), has initiated a search operation to apprehend the escaping Naxalites.

Significantly, the deceased, Pancham Das, had been appointed as the co-convenor of the Shakti Kendra by the BJP in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections. Das had been actively engaged in election campaigning for BJP candidate Mahesh Kashyap.Top of Form
Naxals tossed pamphlets and hung posters for threats
Locals reported that the Naxalites had also tossed pamphlets and hung posters in the vicinity, accusing the late BJP leader Pancham Das of being a police informant, corrupt, and engaging in anti-people actions.
In pamphlets and banners, the Naxalites have also made threats to assassinate Sarpanch Bissel Nag and Congress leader Amit Bhadra.
