PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Oct 10: The Jharkhand state chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today extended its heartfelt condolences on the demise of Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Group.

The industry body in a press note said, ” Ratan Tata’s visionary leadership, unwavering integrity, commitment to ethics, and profound social responsibility have left an indelible mark. His humility and grace inspired generations. Ratan Tata was indeed the perfect example of a leader, nation builder, philanthropist, a global entrepreneur and much more.”

The condolence message appreciated that Ratan Tata’s kind, soft and gracious nature in spite of his stature was inspirational and rare.

“His advice to us at CII was always insightful and demonstrated his belief in Indian businesses’ ability, capabilities globally and most of all how Indian companies should play a meaningful role in the society to build a stronger nation. As a member of CII’s national council for almost two decades, he remained a guiding beacon for CII. With his innate passion for societal good, he led CII’s establishment of the India Business Trust for AIDS which received high global acclaim. It was a great honour for CII that he accepted the first CII President’s Award, a natural recipient given his extensive leadership of Indian industry in all areas. His leadership to Indian Industry to globalise, to be competitive and responsible will be remembered forever. He led CII’s delegations overseas and led discussions for Indian Industry to establish credibility and demonstrate confidence. CII will forever be indebted to his contribution. He truly set the way ahead for Indian industry, taking it global and making an indelible mark on the world. We at CII join the Tata family as we most deeply mourn the passing away of a true leader and such a noble soul,” the message stated further.

Condoling the death Ranjot Singh, chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council said, “Mr. Ratan Tata’s legacy will be etched in history as a trailblazing entrepreneur, visionary leader, and unparalleled contributor to India’s transformation and the growth of its industries. His groundbreaking achievements have left an indelible mark on the nation’s progress.”
