Bokaro, October 20: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren inspected the under-construction Kasmar–Barlanga main road in Bokaro district to review the progress of work and assess its current condition.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister examined various stretches of the road and took stock of the construction work, focusing on the route’s importance for local connectivity and daily commuting.
On his return, Soren also inspected Sevati Valley to assess its geographical features and the road network in the area.
Improved Road Connectivity to Benefit Local Residents
The Kasmar–Barlanga main road is an important route for transportation in the region. Its completion is expected to make commuting easier for residents of surrounding villages and areas.
Better road connectivity will also improve access to education, healthcare, trade and other essential services. It is expected to support local economic activities by making the movement of people and goods more convenient.
During the visit, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of construction and took note of the prevailing road and transportation conditions in the area.
Hemant Soren, Kalpana Soren Enjoy Tea and Pakoras at Local Shop
After inspecting the road, the Chief Minister stopped at a local shop near Trikonia Chowk in Kasmar. Accompanied by MLA Kalpana Soren, he sat down to enjoy hot tea and pakoras.
The visit attracted the attention of people present at the shop. The Chief Minister interacted informally with local residents, enquired about their well-being and exchanged pleasantries.

At Trikonia Chowk, Hemant Soren spoke with local residents to learn about conditions in the area, their daily lives and the availability of public amenities.
Kalpana Soren also interacted with the residents during the visit. The presence of the Chief Minister and the MLA among local people generated enthusiasm, with residents expressing happiness at the opportunity to meet them.
