Ranchi, August 9: Amid ongoing student protests over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has launched the ‘Students’ Views – With Students’ (Chhatron Ki Baat – Chhatron Ke Saath) campaign to establish a direct channel of communication between the government and students.

Under the initiative, students will be able to submit their concerns, suggestions and experiences related to the recruitment examination system directly to the government.

CM seeks students’ suggestions on exam reforms

Soren said the dreams of lakhs of young people in Jharkhand and the aspirations of their families are linked to competitive examinations. Therefore, he said, the examination system must be transparent, fair, reliable and timely.

The Chief Minister said the government had introduced new regulations aimed at strengthening transparency and accountability in JPSC and other recruitment examinations. He added that strict legal provisions had also been put in place to prevent incidents such as question paper leaks and protect the future of students who appear for examinations honestly.

‘Government alone cannot improve examination system’

Soren said improving the recruitment examination system was not the responsibility of the government alone and that active participation of students was equally important.

Under the Students’ Views – With Students campaign, students have been invited to identify shortcomings in the examination system, share their experiences of problems encountered during examinations and suggest practical solutions.

The Chief Minister said all suggestions received would be examined with the assistance of experts. Suggestions found to be consistent with existing rules and constitutional provisions would be considered for implementation within a specified timeframe.

‘Jharkhandi First’ focus on youth employment

Soren reiterated that creating more employment opportunities for Jharkhand’s youth remains a priority for his government.

He said several reforms had already been introduced in the recruitment process and efforts were being made to protect the interests of local youth and expand employment opportunities in the state, guided by the principle of ‘Jharkhandi First’.

He said Jharkhand, which has completed 25 years as a state, is entering a new phase of development and that the youth will play a crucial role in shaping its future.

The Chief Minister urged students and young people to actively participate in the new initiative and contribute their ideas towards building a recruitment system they can trust.

Students can submit suggestions online

Students can submit their suggestions and feedback through the government’s samvad.jharkhand.gov.in portal.

The Chief Minister said the objective of the initiative is to bring about meaningful changes in the Jharkhand recruitment examination system and build an examination process that is transparent, credible and trusted by students.
