Jamshedpur, Dec 20: Coldwave condition in isolated pockets of Jharkhand is expected to continue for another 24 hours, said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre today.
According to weathermen, cold wave conditions would be mainly in western parts of Jharkhand.
Daltonganj, Garhwa, Bokaro, Ramgarh and several other places in western Jharkhand recorded 7-8 degrees Celsius today, four to five notches below normal.
Weathermen said moderate cold wave condition was prevailing in some pockets of western and central Jharkhand.
The minimum reading also dropped to as low as 7 degrees Celsius at Chaibasa in West Singhbhum.
No significant synoptic situation prevails over Jharkhand.
Dry and clear weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.
Statistics revealed that the highest maximum temperature of 26.0°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 6.9 °C was recorded at Garhwa yesterday.
