Dhanbad, July 29: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has recognized Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro as the ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Jharkhand for Scientific Innovation.
A school official said the Bokaro institution has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence for the exceptional performance of the students in the Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP) exam.
DPS Bokaro has consistently secured top positions in the state for the past two years.

KAMP is one of the major initiatives of CSIR and the National Institute of Science Communication Policy Research (NIScPR), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
Impressed by the outstanding excellence of the students and their innovative capabilities, KAMP has set up an Exclusive Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Laboratory on the campus.

School will have access to coding, AI and Robotics
The school official said that equipped with the latest technological facilities, the students and faculty members of the school will have access to coding, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics, scientific excursions, workshops, live lectures, training sessions, various programmes and competitions besides continuous professional development (CPD) programmes.
The Sub-Divisional Officer of Chas, Om Prakash Gupta, highly appreciated the selection of DPS Bokaro as the first KAMP ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Jharkhand and said that the advanced technological resources will provide the students with the opportunity for holistic growth.
Principal Dr A S. Gangwar said that this recognition is a matter of pride not only for DPS Bokaro but for Jharkhand.
“With the installation of this centre, students will now have the opportunity and access to learn 21st-century skills in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 that focuses on the development of each individual. They can hone their scientific skills by learning about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics to match the contemporary skills of the present era,” he said.
