THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK

New Delhi, April 23: The Delhi High Court has instructed the Consortium of National Law Universities to revise the CLAT UG-2025 marksheets and republish the final list of selected candidates within four weeks. This comes in the wake of multiple legal challenges pointing to errors in the undergraduate examination.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela delivered the verdict while hearing a batch of petitions filed by candidates who had raised objections to specific questions and the answer key. The court acknowledged some of these objections while rejecting others.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 for entry into five-year integrated LLB programs was conducted on December 1, with results announced on December 7. However, soon after the announcement, several candidates filed petitions in different high courts, alleging inaccuracies in the question paper and errors in the published answer key.

A single-judge bench of the Delhi High Court had earlier, on December 20, 2024, ordered a revision of the results due to identified discrepancies. The matter escalated as the Consortium and the petitioners both challenged different parts of the single-judge ruling.

In February 2025, the Supreme Court transferred all related petitions, including those concerning the postgraduate CLAT results, from various high courts to the Delhi High Court to ensure consistent adjudication.

While the court has now ruled on the undergraduate examination, hearings on the issues raised in CLAT PG-2025 are still pending.
