Ranchi, March 28: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, has taken a major step towards sustainability by installing a 100 KVA on-grid solar power system under the leadership of Principal Dr Jaya Chauhan. The system includes 170 high-efficiency solar panels and reflects the school’s commitment to green energy and environmental responsibility.

This initiative will help reduce electricity costs and lower the school’s carbon footprint. It also provides students with a practical way to learn about renewable energy and climate change. The inauguration ceremony was attended by faculty and staff, highlighting the school’s focus on innovation and sustainable practices.

Focus on Education and Sustainability

Speaking at the event, Dr Jaya Chauhan emphasised the importance of eco-friendly practices in education. She said the project is not just an infrastructure upgrade but a step towards energy independence and a cleaner future. She also noted that it will inspire students to understand and adopt sustainable solutions.

The project serves as a live learning model, encouraging students to explore renewable energy and become responsible global citizens.

With this initiative, Delhi Public School, Ranchi, strengthens its position as a forward-thinking institution committed to both academic excellence and environmental sustainability.
