Dhanbad, Dec 13: A team of the Dhanbad Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) under Sub Inspector Jitendra Kumar Singh today arrested an ASI Manoj Kumar Mishra of Loyabad police station, around 10 km away from here, while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 for dropping a name from the case.
An ACB official said that ASI Manoj Kumar Mishra had demanded Rs 30,000 from Md Sakil, a resident of the Loyabad no.5 area, to remove his name from the land dispute case.
Md Sakil complained to officials of Dhanbad ACB regarding the bribe demand of the IO Manoj Kumar Mishra. The ACB first confirmed the case and later sent Md Sakil to pay the bribe to the ASI.

As per the plan, Md Sakil called ASI Manoj Kumar Mishra at Kerkend to take Rs 10,000 as the first instalment of Rs 30,000 of the bribe. At around 1 pm as the ASI took the money from Md Sakil, the ACB officials team caught him raid-handed.
Md Sakil had earlier complained to the senior superintendent of police about the Loyabad police station but no action was taken.
