Dhanbad, August 21: Dhanbad’s senior photographer Chandan Pal secured the first prize in a state-level photography competition held at Sidho Kanhu Murmu Stadium, Dumka, on the occasion of World Photography Day. The event was organized by the Dumka Photography Club.
The day-long competition drew participation from more than 150 photographers representing all 24 districts of Jharkhand. Pal stood out by winning the highest number of medals across three categories.

Multiple Awards for Dhanbad Photographer
Pal won the first prize in the “Save the Nature” mobile photography category, the second prize in “Wedding Candid”, and the third prize in “Best Reel”. His consistent performance earned him recognition as one of the most accomplished participants of the contest.

Tufan Poddar, nodal officer of the district tourism department, served as the chief guest, while Sanjiv Hansda was the guest of honour. Both presented the trophies to the winners and praised the creative skills displayed by photographers across categories.

A Consistent Performer
This is not the first time Pal has been recognized at the state level. Last year, he also bagged the first prize in a photography competition held in Ranchi, where his work was highly appreciated by the Governor of Jharkhand during an exhibition.
