Dhanbad, Nov 9: Students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro ruled the roost in CBSE zonal swimming competition 2023 winning 35 medals including 12 gold in different age group events.
The championship which concluded at Taurian World School in Ranchi, DPS Bokaro besides 12 gold, also clinched 8 silver and 15 bronze medals.
Dr A S Gangwar, principal of DPS Bokaro congratulated the medal winners student and encouraged them to maintain the same spirit in the future for success.
A DPS official said the school team members won a medal in Under-19 boys’ 4x100m freestyle. The team comprising Aditya Singh, Ishaan Alok, Tejas Nandan, and Aranya Rohan clinched the gold medal.
In the U-17 boys’ 4x100m freestyle, Varunaditya Roy, Ankit Basu, Pragyan Kumar and Shankar M.S. secured a gold medal.
In the U-19 girls’ 4x100m freestyle, Shaili Priya, Anushka Yashi, Gurleen and Shreyasee Gupta bagged the gold medal.
In the U-19 boys’ 4x100m medley relay, Aditya Singh, Ishaan Alok, Tejas Nandan and Aranya Rohan, clinched the silver medal.
In the U-17 boys’ 4x100m medley relay, Varunaditya Roy, Ankit Basu, Pragyan Kumar and Shankar M.S. secured the bronze medal.
In U-11 Boys’ 4x50m freestyle, the team of Yuvraj Singh, Harshit Modi, Gaurav Yadav and Atulya bagged the bronze medal.
Aditya Singh bagged a bronze medal in U-19 boys’ 1500m freestyle, silver in 200m individual medley and 100m butterfly.
Ishan Alok in U-19 boys’ secured silver in 400m individual medley. Shaili Priya bagged silver in the U-19 Girls’ 50m freestyle and 200m freestyle. Aranya Rohan clinched bronze in the U-19 boys’ 100m and 400m freestyle. Anushka Yashi won a bronze in the U-19 girls’ in 100m freestyle. Gurleen bagged bronze in 400m freestyle in the U-19 girls.
