DPS Ranchi: Inter-school event ‘Terra Laureate’ concludes

Ranchi, Nov. 5: Delhi Public School Ranchi concluded the second edition of its two-day inter-school mega event, ‘Terra Laureate,’ on its campus with great enthusiasm and zest.

The event showcased the talent and creativity of more than 250 students from 16 schools in the city.

Notable participants included students from DAV (Bariatu), Kairali School, Vivekananda Vidya Mandir, ODM Sapphire Global School, St. Michael’s School, JVM Shyamali, Bishop Westcott Girls School (Namkum), DAV (Hehal), Sharda Global School, St. Xaviers (Doranda), Sacred Heart School and DPS Ranchi among others.

The closing ceremony, held today, was graced by the presence of Rajnish Kumar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Ranchi Municipal Corporation.

‘Terra Laureate’ comprised nine different competitions, which included DPS Ranchi Model United Nations (DPSRMUN), ‘Ave Scholarium – Debate’, ‘The Orators’ Odyssey – Declamation’, ‘Gourmet Gala- Open Kitchen’, ‘Let’s Talk Stocks- Stock Market Simulation’, ‘Novice’s Gazette – Journal Making’, ‘Pitch Perfect Playoff – Advertisement making’, ‘Web Wizardry – Website Designing’ and ‘PyDev Clash – Timed Python Programming Competition’. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their talent, imagination, creativity, and alertness.

The primary objective of ‘Terra Laureate’ was to hone the talents of young scholars, and their vivacity and brilliance shone through in their performances. Winners in each competition were recognized with trophies and certificates.

The winners of each competition were felicitated with trophies and certificates while all the participants of every competition were bestowed with a participation certificate.

Rajnish Kumar, on the occasion, commended all the participants and emphasized the unlimited potential present in every individual, which can be honed at every opportunity and at every stage. He said, “In an age where academic excellence and personal development are highly prized, inter-school competitions have emerged as a cornerstone of education, offering students a unique opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities beyond the classroom. They foster a sense of curiosity, encourage students to delve deeper into their areas of interest, and can result in academic achievement beyond the school curriculum.”

Dr. Ram Singh, the Principal of DPS Ranchi, congratulated all the participants and wished them the best of luck for their future endeavors. He said, “These types of competitions inspire academic excellence, nurture confidence, encourage teamwork, and promote cultural exchange. Students who participate in these events not only excel academically but also develop into well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of the future”.
