DPS Ranchi organises blessing ceremony for class X board examinees

Ranchi, January 30: Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi, organised a Blessing Ceremony for students of Class X appearing in the upcoming Board Examinations. The programme was held on Friday, at the Vivekananda Auditorium.

The ceremony was attended by the Principal, Dr Jaya Chauhan.

The programme began with the presentation of a sapling by the Class X students to the Principal, symbolising growth and new beginnings. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr Jaya Chauhan.

Students then presented a Saraswati Vandana, setting the tone for the event.

Principal Addresses Students

Addressing the students, Dr Jaya Chauhan encouraged them to face the examinations with confidence and discipline. She said examinations reflect preparation, consistency and effort, and advised students to remain calm and focused.

She urged the students to trust their preparation and avoid stress, assuring them that the school and teachers would continue to support them throughout the examination period.

Students observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Martyr’s Day. The tribute highlighted Gandhiji’s contribution to the nation and the importance of values such as responsibility and service.

Cultural and Interactive Activities

The cultural segment included a song presentation by the school choir, followed by interactive games where students identified faculty members who had taught them.

A dance performance by the school dance troupe was also presented.

Students Share Thoughts and Experiences

Students of Class X shared their thoughts through songs, poetry and speeches. An activity involving decoding popular songs using emojis added an interactive element to the programme.

Each student received a customised diary with a message from the Principal along with a pen as a memento.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by group photographs of students and staff.
