Ranchi, March 23: A dreaded criminal, Chhotu Rangsaaj alias Bajruddin, was shot dead in broad daylight in the capital Ranchi. This incident happened Saturday afternoon near the Urdu library under the Daily Market police station area on the main road. 

The deceased youth was among the most wanted criminals in the Palamu and Garhwa districts. 

30 cases against Chotu 

A total of 30 cases were registered against him in different police stations in the Palamu and Garhwa districts. He was the main accused in the bomb attack case on Guddu Khan in Palamu. 

The wife of the deceased youth has identified the two criminals who carried out the incident. The criminals have been identified as Mintu and Sabir. To arrest both criminals, the police are raiding the possible hideouts. Chhotu was shot dead due to personal rivalry.

Chhotu was caught one year after murder

The deceased youth, Chhotu Rangsaaz, was accused in the sales manager Anjani Kumar Sinha murder case. On June 18, 2022, Anjani Kumar Sinha, sales manager of a motor parts company, was shot dead in the Redma area of Palamu Town police station area. Exactly one year after the murder, on June 18, 2023, Chhotu Rangsaj, the main accused in the murder case, was arrested and sent to judicial custody. He had absconded for the last year and was taking shelter in the Garhwa area. Palamu police had received information that Chhotu would occasionally appear in Garhwa court. In the light of this information, the police raided and arrested him. He was accused of carrying out many criminal incidents in Palamu and Garhwa.
